We have been told from childhood that when you put your finger in the anus of a tortoise, it will chop it off This may be the reason why people will wanna know what will happen if they pit their finger in IRS anus

Scratching Schell X no Anus Problem by: Why would you wanna know?
I just came here to know something, not anything to advise about tortoise anus.
I have a male russian tortoise and I was wondering, why does he move around very fast when I scratch his shell rapidly? Is this some type of pleasure? or is it bad?

Why would you put your finger in any animal's anus? If you are not a vet, please, please, please don't even think about doing this. You will introduce bacteria and may very well damage internal organs.
