hi i have 2 horsefield tortoise and i was wondering at what age do they start to lay eggs ?

My understanding is that their size is more critical than their age. I've read that on average, they start laying eggs when their shell measures about five inches long (from the head end to the tail end), but some females as small as 4.5 inches will lay eggs.
