I have a tortoise with the same problem, the local vet who is a zoo director said it could be a number of problems: Bladder stones Inflamation and infection Nutritional defficiency It looks like a fairly common problem but needs to be taken seriously, i.e. take the tortoise to the vet and bring a list of habits and diet with you, plus symptoms and behavioural changes.
