I have a southwestern box turtle that appears to have bruising on its shell on top and on the side of its face. It went into hibernation around the end of October and slept till a few days ago and now has been restless.
I'd take your animal to a vet just for a check-up. If there is a problem, the vet can help you with it. Hibernating is always a little risky and it would be good to get a clean bill of health to go into the next season.
