crack in shell

Not sure how it happened but my tortoise has a small crack/hole in her shell near the top of her back. It looks a little oozy and has a small amount of blood. I cleaned it with hydrogen peroxide and have put neosporn ointment on it. Do you suggest doing anything else?

Tortoise Shell Hole

If there is a hole that allows fluid out, you can be sure bacteria will have a way in. You do not want that.

The best thing to do is to take your friend to a vet as soon as possible.

Keep it slow and steady.
