do tortoises eat their owe urine? and what color is their vomit?

i found a large amount of urine in my tortoise tank. i cleaned it out and noticed there was white stuff all over his mouth. do you think he was eating his urine or did he vomit? thank you

normal behavior

I have a land tortoise who I have seen smell his urine and then before I had the chance to move him to clean it, he took a bite! I was surprised he did that so I asked his vet about it and he told me that this is normal behavior in the wild, that they will eat their own waste. Maybe it would be the same for water turtles. As for the color of vomit I am not sure, try contacting your vet or if you don't have one look them up in the yellow pages and call, they are usually willing to answer any questions over the phone.
