Eye Infection?

I have a year old red-earred slider turtle and the other day I noticed one of his eyes is swollen and appears to have a "crusty-looking" film over it. The other eye is fine and so are the two other turtles that share the tank. What might be wrong with his eye and will any over-the-counter turtle solution correct the condition?

The crusty film is very serious and must be removed by a vet. If you do not have this removed, your pet will probably become blind and blind turtles cant' find their food.

Please take you pet to the vet as soon as you can.

Keep it slow and steady.
