female and male tortise male much bigger and biting at femals feet and stoping it from eating..

i have 2 tortoises.. male and female. the male is much bigger and is stopin the feamle from eating and constantly biting and its feel and dragging it buy its feet. and been very agressie towards the feamale am a littl ebit worryd becouse the feamle is always looking over it shoulder looking for the male. should i be worryd that the male is doing this and should i separate them they still younge ust small things they are bout the size of you hand bu am still very worryd as i love them like family
