Floating all the time

My turtle would swim under watter all the time when I first got it and now it just flotes all the time and chills on his log. Also, he ust to follow my finger when I put it close to the tank but now he doesnt do anything. Is he sick or dying or something? Whats wrong with him?

If he is able to climb up on his basking area he is not dead, if he is well fed he will not follow your finger because they usually do that when they are hungry and hoping for food...Unless your watching him 24/7 it would be hard to say if he's swimming in his tank when you are not there...unless he looks sick or hurt I think he is just content..
