Found a baby turtle in the pool

by Leslie
(Keller, Texas)

It's green all over with a red spot just behind each eye. What kind is it and how do I feed it?

Yes, it's probably a red eared slider.

As for food, if you found it in the pool, it's probably been feeding well on whatever is in there.

sounds like a red eared slider . If it is its the most common pet turtle . Feed it turtle pellets from the pet store . But also pffer a variety of insects . Mine loves earth worms , snails , beetles. Also try meal worms , and crickets . Good luck :)
