Found a turtle

Who is this?
My friend found this turtle on his farm, in southern British Columbia, which is off the grid in a heavily forested area near the Pend o'reille river. He has very limited internet access (he's off the grid as I said) and is wondering what kind of turtle it is and what it's needs are in case it sticks around he'd like to be able to he;p/feed it properly. Thanks for your help with this, really appreciate it.
