heating?

hi my 3 yr old herman tortoise is in a 3ft viv at the moment until we sort his tort table out, what is the correct heating under the basking lamp????, im going for a hot end/cool end, ive had it at 26 degrees from breeders advice but she seems very sleepy all the time, should i turn it up to 35???

I have my set up at a temp of atleast 30C degrees, or hotter.
However my tortoises, are african sulcatas. So they are accustomed to these temperatures. However, as far as trying these temps on your herman tortoises, I doubt can be harmful. Crank it up, and see if she becomes more active.
Also, i tend to buy the infrared heating lamps that admit not light, just the heat. I think my torts liked the efficiency more then the red lighted cheap ones.
