hibernation

I found a Box-Turtle in the woods that was dug up during hibernation by some animal. So I brought him home. He stayed closed all the way up for a few days but then he opened up but didn't come out of his shell. I pulled on his leg but he doesn?t do anything back. He doesn?t seem stiff or stink so I'm not sure what?s going on.
