It all depends on you. Do you feed it a little something by hand daily? Are you extra kind and gentle toward it always. If the answer to these two questions is a yes then it will know you very well or soon will. When I was a boy in Sydney Australia, Murtle, my turtle, way back then, would actually get out of her pond and come to me if I sat on the grass. If I wondered off to play elsewhere it would try to follow me. Then you must remember as I did to put it out of harms way.
