I have an almost two year old red footed tortoise and want to add another red footed tortoise. Does it have to be roughly the same age or can I add a younger one?
Just be sure they both have privacy if they want it. The new one especially will need places to hide if necessary. You might try first placing them where they can see each other, but not come into contact. This will let them get used to each other. It will also protect your current one from any diseases the other may be carrying.
