how can you tell tortoise age

how can i tell my tortoise age and what happens if he falls on his back when im not there?.. my tortoise is very wired and rare cause he eats so much and he loves to wonder everywhere and stuff we had to make a run in the garden so can you help me tell me some info so i know what to do if anything happans.

Tortoise Age

The only way to be 100% sure of the age of your tortoise is to be there when it hatches.

The other way--until it is full grown--is size. If you know the size of a full-grown tortoise like yours, then you will know at least if yours is full-grown yet.
