eating too much

Anyone who eats too much will get sick. But a tortoise is not likely to eat too much if you give him or her the correct food.

Now if you give treats, that's a different story.

Greek Tortoise Food
by: Shelly

If you are feeding your greek tortosie the right food, you can give it as much as it wants.

Greek tortoises need food with lots of minerals and vitamins, not much fat or protein, and lots of fiber.

Wild grass that has no pesticides are very good for greek tortoises. So are leaf lettuces -- not iceberg or other head lettuces. If you are buying hay, check the label for the protein content.

Keep it slow and steady.
