how to tell age of an indian star tortoise

hi, i'm considering to buying a indian star tortoise and wanted to ask if there was anyway to tell the age (visual or markings etc.)? mostly adults are sold here and are always 20 to 30 cm.

weight increase by the age and size to, but femail grow much faster and biger then male

There is no definite way to tell the age of a tortoise unless you are there when the tortoise hatches.

But in general, you could note the shell. The older a tortoise gets, the more uniform the shell becomes. The scutes wear down and the shell becomes less "bumpy."

Keep it slow and steady.
