I have a red footed tortoise! She's 10 years old! I think it is very good sign that your tortoise happy when they get along well with you and eat regularly

er ....I could not see the tail!!! In mycase the stick their head out and their hands when i hold em n spk to them. they then rub their heads to my nose :)

I'm sorry but usually when ever any of my Tortoises wag their tail is because their getting ready to have a stool movement. You can tell when a Tortoise is happy when it eats well, is active and seems to be comfortable around you. My Tortoise's seems to think I' one of them, just I have a key to the best food....

I unfortunately do not have have that type of a tortoise, nor have I seen my tortoises tails wag.
