if i let my turtle go will it survive

i live in north carolina i have 2 turtles ive had 1 for 5 years and the other one for about 4 in a half years. i got them in hilton head i have a creek in my backyard. if i let them go in the creek will it know how to survive?

will turtle survive

i had 2 snapping turtles awhile back that i found in a factory i worked at,they were the size of a quarter.i kept them until they were the size of a salad plate.i released them in a creek not far from where i live.after i released them i wondered if i did right thing.they were babies when i found them and i fed them,would they be able to take care of themselves.your turtles would be the same way,they would only know you.i would get ahold of a rescue center.

Releasing turtles

You are probably not allowed to release turtles into the wild in your area. Check with a local rescue center or with your local wildlife authority.

If you have to get rid of your turtles, see if a rescue agency can help you.
