Hi, i was interested in purchasing an african spurred tortoise (sulcata tortoise) often sold in pet stores and also breed by breeders but i have heard recently that they are illegal to own ( as of in the state of california) (not sure about other states) ? i love in california. Is that true or permitts are required?
