indented bottom portion of shell

hi my fiance has a aferican sulcata tortise and the bottom portion of the shell is now indented a little...is this okay? if not how do we rectify this manner?

any damage to the shell can cause shell rot when bathing

this should be fine just keep an eye on him or her on the eating and if u give him or her a bath keep an eye on that to as any damage to the shell can cause shell rot when bathing hope this helps

One possible explanation is that you are talking about a male. Read the page on sexing a tortoise. If it seems to you that the page describes your situation, well and good. If not, take your pet to the vet.
