Is there hope?

My painted turtle has been diagnosed with a resirtory infection by our vet and is getting treated for it. Along with a warm water tank and pleanty of food i think he will be fine, but the vet didnt seem so sure and had a sense of dought in his voice. Is there hope that he will be fine or am i missing something?

Ok, when i started out with turtles I searched out many sites, and found this one to be most helpful, so rather than repeat, I will give you the site..
