Lack of activity.

My tortoise is eating proper food and calcium powder as recommended but is yet to have much movement. I live in Chicago,il and it is still cold here may that be a reason for the lack of movement,yet I do have the heat lamp but still need the UVB light which I'm getting tomorrow. What else can I do? By the way it Is a Russian tortoise.

Your problem is may be the UVB light or lack of it. That's not just an optional piece of equipment. Without it, your pet can't metabolize food.

If things don't turn around quickly, though, see a vet. Many things could be wrong and only a vet seeing the animal can tell you for sure.

Keep it slow and steady.
