Lethargic Tortoise

My tortoise is lethargic, it's not active at all, even when we pick it up and move it it just stays still, I'm sure its alive. It's eyes look puffy, and he never opens them, I'm not sure if it eats. HELP MR. TURTLE!!!!

Hi,well, sounds like the eyes are infected...eye health is based on proper nutrition, getting enough Vitamin A...tortoise will stop eating if not getting enough warmth from UVA heat source, on a daily basis as well as getting UVB on a daily basis. I don't know the kind of tortoise or his housing.. this is a basic requirement for their shell and eye health...if eyes are infected and will not open, they will not eat and will not thrive. You might need the intervention of a vet to help...sincerely, Susan.
