Mediteranean spur-thighed tortoise dragging back legs

by Gill Warsap
(London, England)

Our tortoise is dragging both back legs and is pulling itself along by the front ones. To the touch they seem to have a slight pull back but not that much, more floppy.

Appears to be eating well and we have tried a warm soak.

Please can you help
Many thanks
Gill Warsap

Weak Legs
by: Shelly

There are several things that could be wrong:

Egg bound
Metabolic bone disease
Bladder stones
Something else.

This is a reason to see a vet. An x-ray may be in order.

Do keep us posted.

Keep it slow and steady.
