My nearly 2 year old hermanns tortoise

My Sheldon =] Hermann's Tortoise

My Sheldon =] Hermann's Tortoise

I get very paranoid about not looking after y Sheldon properly and am always looking for things i can add to my care of him. Are there any ointments or anything i can buy to apply to his shell to make sure it grows properly and has enough moisture?

 Healthy Shell

Sheldon's shell is like your bones. The shell will be strong when the animal is well-fed.

Sheldon needs calcium and enough sunshine to metabolize it. If Sheldon does not get natural sunlight, he needs a proper UVB light.

Good diet and habitat will take care of the shell.

Keep it slow and steady.
