my red eared slider turtle injured his front left leg

my 3 years red eared slider turtles injured his front left leg we shown him to the vet he given medcines to him and told us it will take 1 month to recover from his injuries but 2weeks past and the leg is seems more swallen then before he eats well and walk but not use his front left leg he doesnot allow any body to touch it .Is his leg broken. we also taken x-ray vet said he will be ok .is the broken leg of turtle can be digonise. please tell me what to do . please answer my question as soon as possible . thanks in advance.
