My Secada has a Cold?

by Kelly Thompson
(Romulus, MI USA)

I have a Secada tortoise that is a couple years old. Recently he has not been eating, hiding in a corner and has what looks like mucus coming out of his nose. Does he just have a cold or should I be more worried?

respiratory problems for sulcata tortoise

Your tortoise probably has a respiratory infection. I would take the animal to a vet as soon as possible. A vet that specializes in reptiles would be best, but any vet is better than no vet.
