My tortoise in the rain!

by Lindsay Morris

We live in Twickenham, SW London and have acquired a 30 year old tortoise who has lived freely in a back garden since small. She seems to have settled well and is active and lively. Does it matter if she gets caught in the rain (June). There are plenty of places for her to shelter in the garden including her own tortoise run with a roof. Do I need to dry her if she does get a soaking?

she should be fine if there are plenty of places to take shelter, but you should check on her after a storm and dry her off if necessary
