First I'd like to know where you got your Tortoise. If it were from a breeder or pet shop they should of told you what type of Tortoise you have and all of the answers to your questions. You need to find out what type of Tortoise you have and then take it to a pet store, reptile store or Vet to get all of its needs and supplies taken care of. Pls don't take home a pet without knowing these answers first, there are usually Tortoise Rescue Groups in your area too. Good Luck, snd love your Tortoise they live a very long time when you do.
