My turtle doesn't like me any more

This is a continuation, just another thought, I always call mine out by name, I talked to him and he looks at me, I do it in a soft voice, and I say good morning, good night, see how he is doing and call his name, he knows I am interested in him and take notice and interest, but at the same time i give him his space and respect his privacy... I think this is very important, and he knows when I am looking after his tank and doesn't bother him, I actually think he appreciates it.... sincerely, Susan.

Turtle Doesn't like me any more

Hard to say as I don't know the circumstances, but I would try feeding him with his favorite pellet or veggie ie cucumber, lettuce leaf, be calm and don't rush it, or just stick your finger in water and keep it there for a bit, and calmly see if he/she surfaces around it, give it a bit of time and repeat this, and I am sure he will come around. I have a map turtle now 12 months old, and have had him for about 9 months now, and he is a male, skiddish at times and still I hand feed him every day and always have, and rub his head, but when he is more nervous I leave him for a bit, but then I wait for him to surface try and pat his head, give him his pellets and he knows I feed him, so he comes around. he loves romaine, but loves playing with an english cucumber slice like it is a ball in tank...Still does not like to be started, and he swims with 6 small fish, happily together...Give your baby time, take it really slow, pick good time during day, when he is in the water, not basking on dock or log or rocks...I am sure with patience he will come around. Hope this helps. sincerely, Susan.
