Hi the reason why he won't open his eyes, as he lacking warmth, UVA lighting over basking area, this is what encourages him to eat..He is lacking vitamin A for his eye health..The aquarium store I deal with uses the vitamin A drops, you also might want to seek the advice from a vet that specializes in Reptiles.... good luck.... sincerely, Susan.
