my yellow bellied turtle

hi I've had my yellow bellied turtles for about 2days know and they don't seem to be basking or eating and spend most of the time hiding what is wrong? o and also how many hours a day do you leave the basking spot lamb and uvb lamb on for. if you can help that would be great

When a pet moves into a new place, a little privacy is often what the pet needs. If it goes on too long, you should check with a vet to see if there is a physical problem.

A basking light should be on during daylight hours. That would be up to 12 hours.

Keep it slow and steady.
