new pet

I have recently been given some tortoises to look after .. I live in Cyprus and the baby t's were living on a boat in a basket they are about 3" long and I am unsure of really how to look after them. I have cleaned there basket and put them some newspaper and a towl in to keep them warm as well as some tomatoes... can you give me some advice please on food, bathing? space needed, if they hibernate etc as I want to make sure they are well looked after till I have to give them back to the boat when its a bit warmer for them. the average daily temp here is about between 17'c and 22'c at the minute
