its wierd that someone said that you paint your turtle and i wouldnt do that because you could poison him and yes take to vet

Your Painted turtle might be fine. If it is missing the nail and skin then I would see a vet; if its just the nail he is probley ok.

firstly turtle shouldnt be painted as it also takes in air from its skin. it is missing its body part, its really bad. how if u loose ur finger. consult a vet so that ur turtle can get some treatement and can be fine even wutghout a claw.
NOTE FROM SHELLY: A painted turtle is not a turtle with paint on it. It is a breed of turtle.
