red ear slider

Hello I was wondering if it was normal that my red ear slider has dark black skin. Does this mean I have it exposed to to much sun, and if so is this bad for it.

Red ear sliders are usually green with red ears and yellow stripes. Mine is black with the red ears kind of fading with bright yellow stripes. Can u please help me?
