red foot tortoise is sick with pneomia how long will it take for her to get better

I have a red foot tortoise that I have taken to a vet, she has told me she has pnenomia, and has been on injectable antibiotics since 3/3/10. She doesn't seem to eat alot, but does eat a little, I am worried that she isn't getting enough, how can I get her to eat more? I have been chopping up her salads into tiny peices. She also seems to sit in her food, why?
