Okay i have a lot of questions, the first one is how do i tell the gender of my red foot tortoise? He is now 10 months old. And also i am just curious. But is my yertle the only tortoise who sleeps in his food?
I have two red foots, and they have to be older before you can tell their sex, the male has a longer thicker tail, and yes they will sleep in their food. They like moist area's that are cooler if its wet food they may crap in it too....its just what Tortoises do. He's beautiful and looks really healthy...
