Relaxed Russian

Is it normal for a tortoise to look completely relaxed after a day outside?

While sleeping, his limbs are splayed, even his head is laying relaxed.
I keep touching him to check for signs of life and he does respond, move around and look at me. Should I stop bothering him? If I were that relaxed, I would not want to be bothered at all.
