The soft shell if probably a symptom of metabolic bone disease. Your pet is not getting enough calcium.
1. Be sure you are feeding the correct foods.
2. Add calcium to the diet. You can sprinkle calcium powder on other food.
3. Be sure your pet has enough UVB light. This is sunlight. An ordinary heat lamp will not do.
