I would turn heat and UVB lamp off after it's been on 12-14 hours. They need nightly temp drops like they would experience in the wild. If however the temps drop too low, you could offer supplemental heat through a ceramic heat emitter as it gives off no light. Read here for more great info: http://russiantortoise.org/
