Russian Tortoise prefers roaming around the house

by Kayleigh
(North Florida)

My Russian Tortoise, "Shadow", loves to roam around the house. He usually roams until he finds a good hiding spot and goes to sleep. I was just worried about him not getting enough of the uva/uvb light to keep him healthy. He has a 4ftx2ft home that has 2 hideouts and 2 kinds of substrate for digging, but right now he really wants roam. Thanks for your help!

All of my Tortoise's love to roam, even when their not supposed too. I allow then to roam and run when I can watch over them, but they can and will find trouble. I do know that they do need UVA light and natural sun light is the best. Pls try to get them outside where you can watch them or can construct a outside habitat as well. Enjoy your precious pets...
