My red footed tortoises eyes are sealed shut, and he cannot open them. It looks almost the way skin heals back together after a large wound. I notice if I run warm water on them they open up, but I have to do it several times a day. Also, he suddenly has stopped eating :( very worried! Hope you can help!

 Not enough humidity

You need more humidity. 60-70% it may be too dry in his home. Happens to mine sometimes.

 Eye Problems

Your tortoise is fighting off an eye infection and it sounds like it is serious. Vitamin A and antibiotics are probably called for.

A vet can supply these and tell you the proper dose.

Please see your vet as soon as possible.

Keep it slow and steady.
