Sharp Shells

My tortoise has cut the top of his head where his neck is on the sharp edge of his shell, is it safe to phile it down with a nail phile?

i dont see why not, as long as youre not filing off too much, just enough not to be sharp, but you will need to rinse the wound with warmish clean water after
