how long to short nosed murrey turtles live for?

how do u tell the difference between a male and a female short nosed murray?
is there any way to fix my turtles back?
it is bowed my mum did it when her house fluded and the insulation fell into hiss tank i have fix it a little bit but would like to fix it better.
