Turtle Disease

A turtle can definitely make a baby sick. Turtles carry diseases like salmonella. Never let a baby handle a turtle. Babies put their hands in the mouths a lot.
Anyone who does handle a turtle should thoroughly wash afterward.
Keep it slow and steady.
