I have had my red footed tortoise for about six months and I absolutely love her. She is a classroom pet, but she comes home with me on the weekends. Lately, since it has been getting colder, she stays in her water bowl all day, and sometimes all night. I keep a 75W heat bulb in all day along with her UV bulb. She also has a 75W night time bulb. She will get out to eat and walk around a bit, but she returns to her bowl. Is this normal activity? Is it possible that she is cold or sick? Thanks.
