soft shell

Hi, yesturday I was given a 5year old Hermans Tortoise, She was no longer wanted by her previous owner & as we already have 2 Horsfield Tortoise' We said we would take her home and look aftre her. When I got her home, I ws checking her over & I found that her shell underneath feels pretty springy, I have read on the internet abt softshell syndrome & I am now worried abt her. The top of her shell is fine and around the edges of the underneath of her shell, It starts 2 feel soft and spring like when I touch the middle of her shell & down towards her tail.

I'm really hoping someone has some valubale advice out there for me As I don't want anything bad 2 happen to our new little friend
Many thanks Vikki
