I have never heard the name of that tortoise before. but one thing for sure, they need food, and should never go long without as they will get very sick, eye problems with lack of vitamin A, Shell and bones will weaken, shell will soften, from lack of calcium and phosphorus. These are achieved by proper diet and proper lighting, weather it be indoors or outdoors....and clean water.. I would probably seek some advice from a pet store who deals with these turtles, or a vet... I hope this gives you some ideas. Sincerely, Susan.
